Clarity Through Impartial Testing and Measurement
An impartial acceptance test carried out with the commissioning of a new device or system simplifies and clarifies customer and supplier negotiations on responsibilities and obligations during and after the warranty period.
CMT Solutions provides impartial acceptance tests in which it is determined, through tests and measurements, whether the device or system fulfills the terms and conditions set out in the delivery contract.
The scope of the acceptance test depends on the device/system purchased and the terms of the delivery contract. Vibration levels are the most commonly measured property, but characteristics such as bearing currents, movement speeds, force, pressure, temperature and noise can also be included in the test scope.
The acceptance test report includes the clarification and measurement results determining which terms and conditions of the delivery contract are met and which are not.

Properties That May Be Included in the Test Scope
- Bearing currents
- Movement speeds
- Force and pressure
- Temperature and noise
EN ISO 5199:2002 — Maximum Allowable Vibration Severity
Example: maximum RMS vibration velocity limits for pump equipment (mm/s).
| Parameter | Pump Type | h ≤ 225 mm | h > 225 mm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rigidly mounted pump — Horizontal | Horizontal pump | 3,0 mm/s | 4,5 mm/s |
| Flexibly mounted pump — Horizontal | Horizontal pump | 4,5 mm/s | 7,1 mm/s |
| All pumps — Vertical | Vertical pump | 7,1 mm/s | 7,1 mm/s |
