Paper production begins with stock (pulp) preparation: a mass of fibrous material suspended in water, which is then poured onto the paper machine's wire and processed until paper is obtained.
The type of stock to be prepared varies according to the paper being produced; it generally contains raw cellulose fiber or recycled waste paper suspended in water and chemical products.

Machines in the Process
Pulper
Turns the mixture of water, cellulose (waste paper) and chemical products into paper stock.
Disc Refiner
Opens the fibers further, favoring the entry of water.
Deflaker
Breaks up any lumps or cellulose knots not yet pulped, using a rotor and a stator disc.
High Density Cleaner
Thanks to the different specific weights of the elements, it can separate extraneous components from the stock itself.
Headbox Screen
Used to give the stock a final treatment before it reaches the headbox.
Broke Pulper
Collects broke paper from the machine that would otherwise be wasted, and re-enters it into the production cycle as raw material.
