MFFT Gradient Test Bench

Determines the Minimum Film Forming Temperature (MFFT) of aqueous polymer dispersions on a temperature-gradient bench.

The instrument consists of a precision polished, hard chrome plated measuring plate for applying the samples. A temperature controller provides optimum control of pre-set temperature set points. Set points are variably adjustable with a gradient of up to 100°C (up to 20°C on the MFFT 10 model). To determine MFFT, the measuring plate has 20 integrated Pt-100 temperature sensors (10 on the MFFT 10). The digital temperature display shows measured values with 0.1 K resolution. A flat Plexiglas cover with optimized dry air/nitrogen flow routing reduces the drying time of the applied film (depending on temperature and film thickness) by up to 30%.

  • Temperature range -30°C to +250°C (MFFT 20)
  • Gradient up to 100°C (up to 20°C on the MFFT 10 model)
  • 10 or 20 measuring points selectable
  • Different hood options available
  • Digital temperature display with 0.1 K resolution
  • Up to 30% shorter drying time with the optimized-flow Plexiglas cover
