The CD-Test unit tests the adhesion of plastic coatings on steel. On a coated specimen immersed in electrolyte, cathodic disbondment is induced around a pre-drilled hole under controlled electrochemical conditions, and the disbondment radius is measured after a defined period. This method is widely used in the industry to predict the long-term performance of pipeline coatings under underground/subsea corrosion conditions.
