With the hot die, extruded material can be reliably converted into pellets using one or more blades in direct contact with the die plate. Both wet and molten extrudates can be processed. The number of blades used and the speed setting allow pellets of the desired size to be produced. The hot cutter is controlled directly via an integrated potentiometer, or optionally through the Three-Tec extruder's control system. An optional enclosure is also available.
- Compact design
- Can be retrofitted to an existing extrusion line
- Even very brittle extrudates can be cut, since the extrudate strand is still hot and plastic
- Since the cut extrudates are still plastic, they can be converted directly into perfectly spherical pellets
- Optional protective enclosure
