Recover Lost Heat Back Into the Process

After starch is heated with direct steam under pressure, it is relaxed in a cyclone; the expansion steam and heat energy released at this stage would normally escape into the atmosphere. GAW's compact, modular heat recovery system recovers this energy through a heat exchanger and feeds it back into the Jet Cooker inlet.

This reduces the direct steam demand, delivering energy savings of over 50% while lowering operating costs.

Made in Austria · 50%+ Energy Savings

Working Principle

  • Starch is heated with direct steam under pressure
  • The heated mixture is relaxed in a cyclone
  • The released expansion steam is passed through a heat exchanger
  • The recovered energy is fed into the Jet Cooker inlet
  • Direct steam demand and energy costs are reduced

Advantages

  • Over 50% energy savings
  • Climate-friendly, low carbon footprint
  • Compact, modular design — easy integration
  • Cost reduction
