TFA — Tear and Fatigue Analyser

Analyzing crack growth and fatigue properties with dynamic tear and fatigue tests, for material characterization and life prediction. A scalable system with 1 to 10 measurement stations.

The TFA analyzes crack growth and fatigue properties with dynamic tear and fatigue tests, for material characterization and life prediction. The system is fully computer-controlled and offers a wide range of dynamic applications, including variable dynamic loading (sine, impulse, etc.) and user-defined test sequence programming.

The single-station machine provides stress- and strain-controlled loading for material and component testing. Multi-station machines operate according to System BAYER, offering dynamic stroke control with separate stress-level control per station.

  • Scalable from 1 to 10 measurement stations
  • Intelligent measurement procedure and data evaluation for online Thomas-Plot generation
  • Per-station stress regulation on multi-station systems
  • Online crack measurement and evaluation
  • Up to 3 independent dynamic drives
  • Testing possible across a -20°C to +180°C temperature range
