UVBOX — Fluorescent UV Weathering Test Chamber

An accelerated UV weathering test chamber that simulates the effect of sunlight on materials using ultraviolet fluorescent (UV) lamps. Optional condensation and spray systems can also reproduce the effect of dew and rain.

The UV BOX Accelerated UV Weathering Test Chamber simulates the effect of sunlight on materials using ultraviolet fluorescent (UV) lamps. This allows us to see, in a short time, the effect that years of sunlight would have on a material. Optionally, condensation and spray systems can also reproduce these weathering conditions to observe the effect of dew and rain.

The UV BOX touch screen gives the user easy control and operation. Wi-Fi allows remote access. The instrument's standout feature is that, beyond standard specimens, the test chambers can be custom-designed to the customer's requirements — allowing direct testing of 3-dimensional finished products.

UV Lamps

UV fluorescent lamps are more stable than other lamp types and provide the best UV sunlight simulation. Spectral power distribution (SPD) does not change with lamp ageing even after thousands of hours of operation; this gives more repeatable results, less frequent lamp replacement and lower operating costs.
